The practice of law in Portugal is the prerogative of members of the Bar Association (OA). Interestingly, many people indicate it as OAP (Ordem dos Advogados de Portugal), however, unlike the Brazilian order, the Portuguese one does not have the country code in its name.

What some do not know is that the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) has a protocol with the Bar Association (OA) and it is possible, once regularly registered with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), to request registration as a lawyer also at OA.
